FASHION’S FINEST AFRICA DEBUT TAKES LAGOS

The maiden edition of the much anticipated Fashions Finest Africa event took place on 27th August, 2017 in Lagos. The Fashion’s Finest Africa event is geared towards showcasing young and fresh up and coming designers at their best and promoting African Fashion in Business and Enterprise. This quarterly event is aimed at bringing together all fragments of African fashion from clothing, to accessory brands etc. This edition was tagged “The Renaissance”.
The event kicked off with a masterclass moderated by Yetty D Ogunubi, talking on the topic ‘Creativity in the Business of Fashion‘, other speakers included stylist and Mania Magazine editor Godson Ukaegbu, GM for Zaron Cosmetics and Stylist Teni Oluwo, who spoke extensively about what goes into making a business/living out of fashion and what it obtains in the industry.
Shortly after the talk session followed the runway show with impressive designs from Clothing, 1407 Clothing, Nkdaz and Sally Bawa with apparels cutting across casual, beachwear etc. In attendance was former BBA star Uriel, Mai Atafo, style editor Onah Nwachukwu, Tosin Ogundadegbe, Wofai Dada and Geinuzz of Effizy Music.
