Rising Nigerian Music Star Anayka Onyebuchi, popularly known by his stage name Mykelar was a guest at Glamsquad Magazine and Media over the weekend where he spoke on his latest single titled ‘I Made It‘.
In the ‘bare it all‘ interview, the talented music artiste revealed the real individual behind the articulate voice and captivating lyrics.

Glamsquad: Good Morning, Please can you introduce yourself?
Mykelar: Am Anayka Onyebuchi known as Mykelar am an artist from the eastern part of Nigeria, Anambra to be precise. Am an undergraduate. Born and raised in Lagos.
Glamsquad: What is your genre of music?
Mykelar: My genres of music are Rap/Trap, RnB/trap, Dancehall, Electronic music.
Glamsquad: What influences your music ideologies?
Mykelar: Good sound, a sound mind, solitude, work, public place.
Glamsquad: Who are your music Icons?
Mykelar: Eminem, Chris brown, Drake, Trey Songs, Omarion, The weekend… Etc.
Glamsquad: Tell us a little about yourself?
Mykelar: Am a Christian l, lover of God, from a family of four boys, two girls of which am the third boy and fifth child. I have been writing songs and singing since I was 8yrs old. Am also a laptop/gadget technician and am a programmer to mention a few.
Glamsquad: What are your hobbies?
Mykelar: My hobbies are meeting people, singing/rapping, writing songs, learning new things.
Glamsquad: Tell us about your music single?
Mykelar: “I made it” produced by Timi Jay is a song that I use as an evidence of a different kind of sound to Nigerians… It’s actually talking about life’s experiences and struggle of most young people…

Glamsquad: What were the reactions you got from fans after you dropped the single?
Mykelar: Reactions were very positive. Though I couldn’t get to much people due to some financial issues… But all the same I received a lot of commendation. On a scale of 1-100, 80% of my fans that I could reach or could reach me were positive.
Glamsquad: If you were to feature one Nigerian artiste, who would it be?
Mykelar: Davido, I think we can vibe and I feel he can easily flow into my kind of music.
Glamsquad: What are your thoughts on the Nigerian Entertainment Industry?
Mykelar: Hmmm… No comments.
Glamsquad: What should your fans be expecting from you soon?
Mykelar: My fans should be expecting a totally different and interesting sound. Different from what y’all have been hearing in recent times.

Glamsquad: What are your words of advice for youths out there?
Mykelar: The only thing they have to know is nothing good comes easy. So they should always be real, unique and consistent in whatever they are doing.
