Davido Pays Tribute To DJ Olu As He Performs With Mayorkun At Wireless Festival In London

Nigerian BET Award 2018 winner Davido performed at the 2018 Wireless Festival in London in front of millions of fans. The artiste is took to instagram to pay a tribute to his friend late disco jockey DJ Olu who passed away in October 2017.

Davido wore a red tee-shirt with the words ‘Long Live Olu’ inscribed on the back.

According to Wireless, ahead of Davido’s performance, “Not many artists can claim iconic status within just five years of starting out. But the Atlanta-born Nigerian singer/songwriter, producer and label owner – who returned home to Lagos, forsaking previously unsuccessful college pursuits in Alabama to chase his music dreams – has earned the right.”

Davido is one artist that has constantly lifted his team to stardom alongside his own rising star.

The DMW label boss had a historic performance tonight on the Wireless Festival main stage during the annual London concert and while performing, Davido invited Mayorkun on stage with him.

The 30BG gang singers closed their set with a performance of the hit song “Che Che Che” after also singing Mayorkun’s “Mama” together.

During his set, Davido was backed up by DJ ECool. He performed songs like “Fia”, “Fall”, “If”, and more.
