Choosing the Right Lipsticks for your Skin Tone

Lipstick and lip liner

While Lipstick is a vital staple in any woman’s makeup bag, there is no doubt shopping for lipstick can sometimes be a tad overwhelming. With so many colours available at the makeup counter, it can be hard to find the right shade. Always keep in mind; lipstick colours depend solely on your skin tone and certain colours have the ability to make or break your face. Be careful to go for colours that flatter your skin tone instead of flaw it.

 Useful tips to remember:

–  Lip liner is your best friend. Fill in your lips with a lip liner prior to lipstick application. It will add to the wear time of your lipstick. Make sure the lip liner is similar to the lipstick colour.

– If you buy a lipstick and find it is too bright for your skin; do not abandon it in your makeup bag. Instead, use a darker lip liner to tone down the colour.
