As part of rewarding women and men of distinction in the fashion and entertainment industry, Glam& Essence Magazine has named Allure Magazine ‘The Most supportive Media for Fashion &Style in 2014’, while 20 others received awards for their contributions in various sectors of the entertainment, fashion and style industry. The Awards ceremony, which is the third edition of the Style Awards and Runway Show held at 10 Degrees Events Center, Billingsway Ikeja, Lagos.
The publisher of Glam &Essence Magazine, Susan Eyo- Honesty, Appreciated her guests for making this year event a remarkable one. “This year style awards celebrates outstanding women and men in various sectors of the industry every year, To appreciate and encourage them through their works, This year 20 winners for different categories were nominated and voted for online”.
“The idea is to also encourage young talented fashion designers, entrepreneurs, and creative minded people to work hard, and be the best in their various field of work”.
The show kicked off with the runway show by international designers Ade Bakare Loisonell Couture; Trish O. Couture’s, Ella and Gabby who showcased beautiful dresses and lovely pieces in heavily beaded local fabrics. All the designers wowed the audience with different designs from their latest collections.
The special Guest of honour, First Lady of Lagos State presented awards for the category of Game Changer in the industry. Winners in this category were Game Changers in Fashion Designing Ms. Deola Ade-Ojo, CEO, Deola, as well as Mrs. Nike Ogunlesi, Female Game Changer in Children’s Fashion, CEO, Ruff n Tumble Female Game Changer in Events and Interior Designing was Mrs. Uche Majekodunmi, CEO, Newton & David Company and Female Game Changer in the Movie Sector , President, Actors Guild of Nigeria Ibinabo Fiberisima.Others were: Mary Charles, CEO, Twinkul who won the Beautician of the Year; the Most Outstanding Jewelry Designer of the Year was Omotola Sokunbi, CEO, Tokalene; Most Outstanding Fashion Brand went to the LDA Lanre Da Silva Brand; andMs Ono Bello was awarded Young Style Diva. Ejiro Amos Tafiri for Fastest Growing Fashion Brand 2014; Style Icon Of The Year was awarded to Senator Daisy Danjuma.

The event was well represented by prominent dignitaries such as the First Lady of Lagos State, Dame Abimbola Fashola———- , CEO, Ruff n Tumble, Grace Egbagbe, Lanre Da Silva, Ade Bakare, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Founder of the ISIS Modeling Agency and Creative Director ‘House of Jala , Joan Okorodudu . to mention but a few.
