From chronicling their personal style, to capturing images of random street style looks and runway looks, fashion blogging which was once considered a recreation is now a powerful career in fashion. Fashion bloggers are now seen to have an indirect influence on the growth of an industry, brand or lifestyle just by critiquing or appraising. How else do you explain, international fashion designers who fly notable fashion bloggers half way across the world to front seats of their runway shows; or send them expensive gift bags? Fashion Blogging is a creative role and for that I’ll be sharing with you 5 of my favourite fashion bloggers:
1 . Ashley Madekwe- Although mostly known as an actress, the part Nigerian/British blogger’s style is not hard to fall in love with. Her blog ‘Ring My Bell’ is a delicious blend of high fashion to high street with an eccentric/ laid back twist chic to it.
2. Soraya De Carvalho- Stylish Angolan native based in the UK is known for her exquisite taste in style and high end designers as seen on her blog ‘Style Is My Thing’. Very edgy and sophisticated, Soraya pushes the fashion envelope daily, by exploring varied stylish possibilities with her clothes.
3. Louge Delcy- This dapper dude is a fresh dose of inspiration for Men’s fashion and style. With his blog ‘Dapper Lou’, he portrays a matured and very cultivated style for Men sourced from arts and culture.
4. Terrence Sambo- Nigerian born and based in the UK, Terrence who writes for his blog ‘One Nigerian Boy’ is known for his eclectic and eccentric mix when it comes to prints, colours and textures. Most important is his confidence in style which he wears very well.
5. Folake Kuye Huntoon- Designer, Stylist and blogger; Folake’s style is a mixture of chic and sexy to edgy and fashion forward. A delightful mixture of afropolitan looks, Folake capture’s her style and fashion adventures on her blog ‘Style Pantry’.
