Africa Fashion Week London is one of Europe’s largest catwalk and exhibition showcase featuring African and African-inspired designs. The brand is calling out to UK and Europe based models to their open casting call for the London edition of the show. In attendance will be official Casting Director, AFWL veteran male model, Hassan Reese, who now heads his own agency DamModel Management, he plans to recruit both male and female models for his brand. Also head Stylist, Samson Soboye, will be looking for poise, elegance, and the ability to show designs to the fullest on the catwalk. He also has an eye for new faces for his own campaigns under his own brand Soboye.
You will be mentored on how to strut the runway like a pro and possibly walk alongside greats. The criteria is seen below:
Girls: You must be:
- Aged 18 or over
- Minimum of 5’8” in your bare feet.
- UK Dress size 6-12
- Any nationality
- Please wear black leggings and a vest top.
- Bring 3” heels (court shoes preferably). No wedges or strapped sandals.
Guys: You must be:
- Aged 18 or over
- Minimum of 6’0” in your bare feet.
- Any nationality
- Please wear jeans, t-shirt and formal shoes
The main show is Africa Fashion Week London on 11-12 August and the second show is an AFWL Curated Catwalk at Africa Utopia on 15 July. If you cannot make either date, but still would like to be seen by us for future reference, please attend this casting.
Africa Fashion Week London is a 2 day show. You will be expected to walk for at least 35 designers over the 2 days. This means lots of catwalk air time in front of an international audience and press. We are looking for at least 30 female models and 12-15 male models.
This is a paid assessment. The AFWL Curated Fashion Show at Africa Utopia is a small show. It is a 1 day assignment. You will be expected to walk 2 or 3 times. It is a paid assignment.
